There is no loyalty program with God

With our heavenly father, there is a reward for us someday to be in heaven with him. This reward comes only from the grace of God because his son died for us to wipe our sins away. There are no loyalty programs with God. We do not achieve points for things that we are in following God‘s will. In our culture today, we’re so accustomed to earning things by doing things. This is upside down within God‘s plan. Yes, we are expected to do our best to follow his will as outlined by Jesus and the word of God. But because of our feelings, we can’t achieve the perfection needed to P like Jesus. But because Jesus bought us with a price, his death up on the cross, and because God was willing to give his son, his graciousness to allow us to be in heaven with him someday. We have to except that grace through our believe in God‘s word, by acknowledging our own sin through confession to God over sin, putting on Christ through baptism to cleanse our self of our sins, and to then follow what Jesus outlines for us in his word. Therefore, God‘s grace makes us whole and gives us that hope of eternal life in heaven someday.

Romans 2:4: “Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?”

John 3:16-18: [16] For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. [18] Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

John 1:14: The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Romans 5:12-21: [12] Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned— [13] To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law. [14] Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come. [15] But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! [16] Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. [17] For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! [18] Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. [19] For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. [20] The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, [21] so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
