The train started at the beginning of time and hasn’t stopped on its way to the promised land. This train is hauling all of God’s children that have decided to follow Christ and be part of his kingdom. If you get on the train then you do not have to get off and you just have to wait till the train gets to this eternity called Heaven. However, if you are not on the train and you do not have your ticket, you are not on your way to eternity with God in heaven.
What we have to understand is that with God’s grace he has given us our ticket and no one can take that ticket away from us. Once we have a ticket and we decide that we want to stay with our Father and follow Jesus commands, God‘s righteousness and Jesus’ death on the cross paved the way for us to have that free ticket. We did nothing to justify a free ticket to heaven but only through God‘s grace are we allowed to have a place on the train. The train is moving slowly so anyone can get on the train but only those that except Jesus and put on Christ through baptism for the remission of all sins are allowed to have that gracious ticket on God’s heavenly train.
John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
The Apostle Paul said:
2 Timothy 4:7-8: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Let us stay the course, stay on the train, and joyfully wait till the train stops at the last stop to be with our Father and Christ our brother and God‘s Holy Spirit for the rest of eternity.
