A question was posed recently,”what is your daily worship for God?” And secondarily, “has God made you complete and through with you and working in your life?”
In Philippians, Paul deals with fellow Christians on their dedication and servitude to God and how he prayed for them and their work. In chapter 1:3-11: “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus. And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ-to the glory and praise of God.”
How do we know (really) what God’s plan is for our life? We know he isn’t ever “through with us” but do you wonder what he had in store for you next? Today? Tomorrow? This isn’t easily answered other than through prayer and patience with God.
I struggle with my daily walk. I manage to go from day-to-day through my morning prayers asking God lots of questions. This helps me put one day in front of another.
“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own (Matthew 6:31-34).
